Primary Responsibility:
Work with customers, plants and MEMC technical community to quickly resolve all customer advisories, ensure fast and effective corrective action / preventive action. Provide support for quality related issues. Lead customer focus teams when appropriate.
Generate reports of quality metrics. Active participant in review and action responses to trends.
Job Scope:
- Responsible for weekly quality metrics
- Analysis of trends and issues that are contained within these summary reports.
- Responsible for assisting the plant to prepare documentation
- Develop customer corrective actions and facilitate fast corrective/preventive action
- Ensure responses to customers are timely and effective
- Facilitate problem resolution by working with customers, plant and technical community
- Function as service representative on customer calls as required
Interpersonal Skill:
- Must be able to develop a strong working relationship with key customers.
- Must use a positive approach to quality challenges
Job-related Experience:
- Experience in quality related functions desired
- 3+ years as a manager
- Semiconductor foundry or Wafer manufacturing experience desired
- Experience facilitating cross-functional team with aggressive deadlines desired.
- Experience leading customer focused teams and 8D problem solving desired.
Knowledge:
- Must have very strong computer skills including experience with MS Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must have knowledge in statistical methods ( SPC, DOEs, etc)
- 6-sigma experience is a plus.
Education/Experience:
- Must have a minimum BSE
- MBA or advanced engineering degree preferred
Communication:
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- 10% to 20% travel required (domestic)
