Position:Finance Manager, Xtal Operations
Reporting to:Vice President, Operations Finance
Location:St. Peters, MO

Primary Responsibility:

Manages, prepares, administers, and directs the budget process, weekly forecast process and daily reporting. Provides proactive and insightful financial analysis to Xtal leadership team to be able to make the appropriate decisions. Monitors site and department adherence to approved budget. Drives functional and organizational productivity improvements through automation of reporting and simplification of processes. This person will be the business partner of the Xtal Operations Leader and drive improvement across the operation.

Job Scope:

Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to other managers and/or subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).

Job-related Experience:

  • 7-10 years experience in Finance or like role within a manufacturing environment.
  • 2-3 years as a manager preferred, but not required
  • Should have a strong manufacturing background.
  • Relevant financial planning and analysis experience required

Knowledge:

Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to other managers and/or subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.

A strong PC background is essential. This individual should possess the ability to develop sophisticated spreadsheets. Knowledge of SAP or like software a plus, specifically in data exchange with MS Office products. Advanced Excel and database skills are essential.

Will also be required to write detailed analysis of operations results vs. target, identifying cause and effect of deviations and compiling recovery action plans.

Education/Experience:

  • BS required, MS desired

Communication:

Individual should have good oral and written communication skills. Will interact with the Xtal Operations Leadership Team and Corporate Executive group.

Frequently interacts with functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, & other company divisions or units. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
