Position:	MIS Manager-Pasadena
Reporting to:	Site Manager at MEMC Pasadena

MEMC has an opening for a Management Information Systems Manager at its Pasadena, TX facility, located on the Houston Ship Channel. We are looking for talented, hard-working team players possessing creativity, strong analytical skills, initiative and a commitment to excellence.

Basic Details of the Job:

1. Manage and perform all MIS and IT functions at MEMC Pasadena
2. Plan, coordinate, and deploy network expansion efforts in liaison with corporate MIS
3. Administer users in a Windows environment along with end-user desktop support
4. Perform/oversee basic system management (directory management, disk allocation, installation of hardware, backups restores, and system patches)
5. Monitor system performance and stability
6. Support DCS system engineers with revision control oversight
7. Support IT audits in conjunction with Sarbanes-Oxley
8. Administer the Lotus Notes/email messaging system

Additional Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Windows server, LAN, Lotus Notes, PC and telecom/router skills
• Excellent IT troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Experience managing a small IT department required
• Experience working in a chemical process manufacturing environment required
• Strong understanding of:
  • Windows Server technologies
  • Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Network infrastructure
  • Lotus Notes based messaging
• Experience working with SAP
• Excellent communication skills
• Application development experience required
• Experience with DCS process control change oversight and process simulations desired
• Dedication and strong work ethic for a fast-paced environment

Education/Certifications:

• Requires B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred but not a must

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of Computer Desktop Support/Network experience and hands-on IT experience
• Experience in the role of MIS Manager is a plus

Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Site Manager at MEMC Pasadena and indirectly to the MEMC Corporate MIS VP in St. Peters, MO. This is a working level Manager position requiring a hands-on approach with many small projects. This position will have two direct reports to support system administration. This position will coordinate MIS efforts between MEMC Pasadena and the St. Peters Corporate office.
